Technical Data
K9 corner cube prisms are commonly used for collimation and can reflect light or a beam back along its original path. By means of three internal reflections, the prism redirects an image or beam back toward its source. Even when the angle of incidence is non-zero, the beam or image is inverted and deflected by 180°. Corner cube prisms are insensitive to alignment, making them ideal for retroreflective optical components.
K9 optical glass is an optical material with excellent broad‑band transmittance, exhibiting high transmission across the 350–2000 nm wavelength range. It boasts superior hardness, can withstand a variety of physical and chemical stresses, and contains low levels of bubbles and impurities. Consequently, it is frequently used as a substrate for various optical components, enabling the fabrication of highly precise optical elements.
