Ultraviolet Fused Silica Corner Cube Prism ( UV‑fused silica corner cube prisms are commonly used for beam collimation and can reflect light or a beam back along its original path. By means of three internal reflections, a corner cube prism reverses the direction of an image or beam, returning it to its original orientation. Even when the angle of incidence is non‑zero, the beam or image is inverted and deflected by 180°. Corner cube prisms are insensitive to alignment errors, making them ideally suited for retroreflective optical components.
Ultraviolet fused quartz glass material compared to K9 optical glass boasts a broader spectral range (185 nm–2.1 μm) and exceptional transmittance in the ultraviolet region.
