Technical Data
Calcium fluoride exhibits a broad transmission spectrum, spanning from 180 nm to 8.0 μm. It features a high damage threshold, low fluorescence, and excellent homogeneity. Its physical properties are relatively soft, making its surface prone to scratching; it is commonly used for beam collimation in lasers and serves as a substrate for various optical components, such as lenses and windows. A biconcave lens diverges light and has a negative focal length; it consists of two concave surfaces with equal radii of curvature and is frequently employed to expand beam diameters, project images, or increase the effective focal length of optical systems.
Chongfan Technology’s calcium fluoride biconcave lenses are available in a wide range of sizes and focal lengths, with both coated and uncoated options. Broadband anti‑reflection coatings are offered for the IR1 (3–5 μm) spectral band, enabling versatile applications across various wavelength ranges and scenarios. Custom lens specifications can also be tailored to meet your specific requirements.
