Technical Data
K9 optical glass is an excellent broadband‑transmitting optical material, exhibiting high transmittance across the 350 nm–2000 nm spectral range. It boasts superior hardness, can withstand a variety of physical and chemical stresses, and contains low levels of bubbles and impurities, making it a common substrate for various optical components. A biconvex lens focuses light to a single point, with a positive focal length, and consists of two convex surfaces of equal radius. It is frequently employed in relay imaging systems and for imaging objects at finite conjugate distances. When the conjugate ratio (object distance : image distance) falls between 5:1 and 1:5, a biconvex lens is the optimal choice for minimizing aberrations; beyond this range, planoconvex lenses are typically preferred.
Chongfan Technology’s K9 biconvex lenses are available as standard off‑the‑shelf products in a wide range of sizes and focal lengths, with options for both coated and uncoated versions. Our broadband anti‑reflection coatings cover the VIS (visible), NIR (near‑infrared), and SWIR (short‑wave near‑infrared) spectral regions, meeting the diverse application requirements across different wavelength bands. We also offer custom‑made lenses tailored to your specific needs.
