Technical Data

Calcium fluoride material exhibits a broad transmission spectral range (180 nm–8.0 μm) and features a high damage threshold, low fluorescence, and excellent homogeneity. Its physical properties are relatively soft, making its surface prone to scratching; it is commonly used for beam collimation in lasers and serves as a substrate for various optical components. A biconvex lens focuses light to a single point, with a positive focal length, and consists of two convex surfaces of equal radius. When the conjugate ratio (object distance: image distance) falls between 5:1 and 1:5, a biconvex lens is the optimal choice for minimizing aberrations; outside this range, plano-convex lenses are typically preferred.
Chongfan Technology’s calcium fluoride biconvex lenses are available in a wide range of sizes and focal lengths, with both coated and uncoated options. Our broadband anti-reflection coatings are optimized for the IR1 (infrared 3–5 μm) spectral band, meeting your application requirements across various scenarios and wavelength ranges. We also offer custom‑made lenses tailored to your specific needs.
