Quartz tungsten halogen lamp

Quartz tungsten halogen (QTH) lamps are a common alternative to arc lamps. Compared with the arc lamp, QTH lamp has better output stability, does not produce strong ultraviolet radiation, its output spectrum has no obvious peak line, and does not produce toxic ozone. These advantages over conventional arc lamps make QTH lamps well suited for radiometric and photometric applications and as excitation sources for visible to near infrared light.
