These breadboards are modified versions of our hot-selling oxidized blackened aluminum breadboards and are supplied with water. They have a standard 1 inch (inch) or 25 mm (metric) hole arrangement and are ideal for sensors, detectors, lasers, LEDs and other instruments requiring temperature stability. These breadboards can be cooled or heated on demand.
Each water-cooled breadboard has a 1/4 inch (imperial) or 6 mm (metric) inner diameter fitting. These make it easy to connect to a water supply system or refrigeration unit such as the LK220 liquid cooler. Each breadboard is equipped with a 16-foot (5-meter) connecting water pipe, which can be cut to the right length according to your application. To do this, simply cut the pipe to the required length, trim the edges of the pipe to make it flush, insert the water pipe into the plug-in connector, and connect the other end to the water supply system or refrigeration unit.
Depending on the ambient temperature and humidity level, as well as the temperature of the breadboard, there may be condensation on the surface of the breadboard. See the table at the bottom right to learn how to avoid this.
Each breadboard has four or five countersunk mounting holes, which are offset from the position of 1/4 "-20 (M6) screw holes, creating an uninterrupted surface for any application. Four standard mounting holes are located at the four corners of the breadboard, with the center of the holes 2 inches (50mm, metric) from the edge. Larger imperial and metric breadboards have a fifth countersunk hole in the center (inch breadboard width 18 inches or wider, metric breadboard width 450 mm or wider). The use of a center mounting hole increases mounting options, reduces stress at the corner mounting holes when placing heavier loads on the breadboard, and increases the stiffness of the breadboard. The mounting holes are used to attach the breadboard to the optical platform, other breadboard, mounting posts, mounting brackets, or a variety of other surfaces or mounts.
