A光功率 meter is a fundamental tool in optical metrology. The portable digital光 power meter consists of PM-series probes and an LYNX meter head. The probe converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, which is then amplified and filtered to suppress noise, before being digitized via analog-to-digital conversion. The meter head reads the probe’s digital signal along with calibration data to compute the measurement result. All probes undergo rigorous calibration, with calibration results traceable directly to the National Institute of Metrology, China (NIM). The host‑computer software supports multi‑device collaboration, allowing simultaneous connection of multiple light power meters for real-time acquisition and processing of their measurement data. Note: The current product series is not yet suitable for measuring pulsed light sources. Stay tuned for additional feature developments!

Optical power meter display

● 5-inch capacitive LCD touchscreen display

● 5000mAh built-in lithium-polymer battery

● 1 GB memory capacity

● Data can be synchronized with host computer software.

The LYNX power meter’s main unit features an LCD touchscreen and traditional mechanical function buttons, preserving familiar operating habits while delivering a flexible and immersive human–machine interaction experience. A metal bracket is mounted on the back, and M6 threaded mounting holes are provided at the base. The overall design adheres to ergonomic principles, ensuring a comfortable handheld feel. The unit connects to host‑computer software via a USB cable, enabling a smoother, more responsive user experience.

Standard‑type optical power meter probe

● Operating wavelength: 200–1100 nm

● Probe sizes are available, ensuring strong adaptability to various scenarios.

● Effective receiving aperture Ø9.5 mm

● Front side features an SM1 external thread.

● The probe’s front-mounted integrated test card facilitates alignment visualization.

The PMS series’ standard‑model probes operate over a wavelength range of 200–1100 nm, spanning the ultraviolet to the near‑infrared and meeting power‑measurement needs across a wide variety of applications. They are capable of measuring low‑power coherent and incoherent light with small divergence angles and narrow bandwidths. Probe sizes are available to suit different requirements; the PMS500M‑UVISNIR model, for instance, is compatible with 30 mm coaxial systems, while its design balances compactness with versatility. With an effective receiving aperture of Ø9.5 mm, it accommodates large spot sizes. A built‑in detection card on the front of the probe enables rapid source localization and visual alignment, simplifying operation and improving targeting efficiency. The entrance surface is treated with a matte finish to effectively suppress interference from strong reflections, thereby enhancing the signal‑to‑noise ratio. The probe’s streamlined exterior and oil‑filling process further enhance grip stability and product recognizability.

Ultra-thin probe for optical power meters

● 5mm ultra-thin probe, ideal for tight spaces

● Operating wavelength: 200–1100 nm

● Power range: 500 pW – 500 mW

● Slidable neutral density filter, with one-touch switching between measurement ranges.

● Paired with the standard rotary attachment, it supports switching to any angle.

● Optional SM1 mounting base, integrating an SM1 external‑threaded structure with a FiberBench mount.

Chongfan Technology’s ultra‑thin optical power meter probe features a broad wavelength range of 200–1100 nm and is equipped with a sliding neutral density filter. In the no‑filter configuration, it covers a power range from 500 pW to 5 mW; with the filter engaged, the range extends up to 500 mW, enabling high‑precision measurements of both weak and strong optical signals. Its Ø9.5 mm light‑source input port ensures excellent transmission even under large‑spot illumination conditions. The 5 mm ultra‑thin probe design allows easy access to tight spaces for precise measurements, addressing the challenge of narrow optical paths that traditional probes cannot accommodate.

The instrument features a compact, integrated body design that enables flexible handheld operation. Paired with the standard rotary accessory, it supports 360° orientation switching, meeting the multi‑angle measurement requirements of complex optical setups. A standard M4 threaded hole at the probe base allows for quick attachment to an optical post. An optional SM1 mounting bracket is available, integrating an SM1 external thread with a FiberBench mount to ensure seamless compatibility with standard optical platforms, thus satisfying laboratory‑level integrated measurement needs.

PMT500M – UVISNIR, equipped with a rotating accessory and an SM1 mounting base, supports a variety of measurement applications.

Optical Power Meter Integrating Sphere Probe

● The inner wall of the integrating sphere is designed for diffuse reflection, which eliminates directional errors in the light source.

● Multi-scenario compatibility, supporting both divergent and collimated beam incidence.

● A light shield is installed inside the sphere to prevent direct illumination of the sensor.

● The USB optical power meter supports direct connection to host‑computer software.

● Compatible with both Ø12 mm and Ø22 mm input apertures

● Compatible with 30 mm coaxial systems

Chongfan Technology’s integrating‑sphere‑type optical power meter probes are unaffected by the divergence angle or shape of the incident beam and support both fiber‑optic and free‑space light sources. The diffuse‑reflection coating is made of PTFE, offering a high reflectance and excellent durability. The measurement range spans from the ultraviolet to the near‑infrared. The front features an SM1 external‑thread adapter, ensuring compatibility with fiber‑optic adapters. A light‑blocking shutter is mounted inside the sphere in front of the detector to prevent direct illumination of the sensor by non‑uniform light sources. All integrating‑sphere probes accommodate two different source‑entry apertures: with the SM1 external‑thread adapter, the effective reception aperture is Ø12 mm; without it, the effective reception aperture is Ø22 mm, providing strong adaptability to various light‑source configurations.

The USB optical power meter’s integrating‑sphere probe can connect directly to host‑computer software via the USB interface, enabling real-time data acquisition and dynamic analysis. Throughout the entire process, no external display unit is required. The accompanying host‑computer software supports customization up to 1 kHz, balancing high‑efficiency measurement with robust data processing.
