Ultraviolet fused quartz frosted glass diffusers can produce a Gaussian‑like intensity distribution after the input light source passes through. Quartz exhibits high transmittance in the wavelength range above 350 nm. Furthermore, ultraviolet fused quartz does not exhibit laser‑induced fluorescence (as measured at a wavelength of 193 nm), making it exceptionally well suited for applications spanning from the ultraviolet to the near‑infrared spectral regions. These diffusers are available in polishing grades of 120, 220, 600, or 1500 mesh. Our polishing process yields a surface with greater uniformity than sandblasted diffusers. The various mesh specifications enable scattering effects ranging from fine to coarse. Higher mesh counts (e.g., 1500 mesh) provide higher transmittance, whereas lower mesh counts (e.g., 120 mesh) offer a broader scattering distribution at the expense of transmittance. When installing the diffuser, the frosted polished surface should face away from the light source. Provide Fixed lens mount to Clamp these diffusers.
