High-Performance Engineering Diffuser

Chongfan Technology’s high-performance engineering diffusers come in two types: polymer-based and fused‑silica‑based. The former utilizes polymer materials on a glass substrate, while the latter is made from ultraviolet‑grade fused silica.

Technical Data

  • Polymer functional layer/glass substrate, or pure fused quartz material
  • It can be used to generate a light spot with uniform spatial energy distribution.
  • Highly efficient and stable, easy to operate, and insensitive to beam quality.
  • The operating wavelength range covers 400–2000 nm (for polymers) and 193–2000 nm (for fused silica), with multiple divergence angle options available.

Chongfan Technology’s high‑performance engineered diffusers come in two types: polymer‑based and fused‑silica‑based. The former utilizes polymer materials on a glass substrate, while the latter is crafted from ultraviolet‑grade fused silica. Both product lines achieve precise control over the position and morphology of microstructural elements on their surfaces, enabling the reconstruction of incident light intensity profiles to deliver spot patterns with uniformly distributed spatial energy, all while maintaining high transmittance across a broad wavelength range. Compared with conventional diffusers, these high‑performance engineered diffusers offer superior precision in controlling the divergence angle of the light spot, enhancing both the controllability and uniformity of the output beam. All standard products are supplied as unassembled diffusers. In addition to standard offerings, Chongfan Technology provides flexible customization of key parameters; for specific custom requirements, please contact Chongfan Technology’s technical support.

High-performance engineering diffuser, polymer material, square-shaped

  • Polymer/Borofloat glass substrate
  • Convert the incident light spot into a square, uniform light spot.
  • Scattering angles: 2.81°, 21.4°, and 47.2° × 45.4° are available.

Chongfan Technology’s high‑performance polymer engineering diffusers offer a range of divergence angles to choose from, effectively expanding the light spot and ensuring a uniform intensity distribution across the output beam. They operate over a broad wavelength range of 400 nm to 2000 nm, exhibiting high transmittance and excellent environmental stability within this range. For optimal homogenization, it is recommended that the incident light be directed onto the microstructured surface. Please note that, as this product is made from H‑Polymer material, slight machining marks may be visible along the outer edges of the clear aperture. This is a normal characteristic of the material’s manufacturing process and does not affect its normal operation.

High-performance engineered diffuser, made of fused quartz, circular shape

  • Corning 7980 HPFS material
  • Convert the incident light spot into a circular, uniform light spot.
  • High damage threshold
  • Meets the requirements of ultraviolet‑band applications.

Chongfan Technology’s high-performance engineering diffusers offer a variety of divergence angles to choose from, effectively expanding the light spot and achieving a uniform intensity distribution in the output beam. Quartz‑based engineering diffusers are suitable for broad wavelength ranges, from ultraviolet to infrared, delivering both high uniformity and a high damage threshold, with transmittance exceeding 90% across the 193 nm–2000 nm spectral range. For optimal homogenization, it is recommended that the incident light be directed onto the microstructured surface.

High-performance engineering diffuser, polymer material, rectangular shape

  • Polymer/Borofloat glass substrate
  • Convert the incident light spot into a square, uniform light spot.
  • Scattering angle: 19.1° × 10.1°, 64.7° × 31.5° optional

Chongfan Technology’s high‑performance engineering diffusers offer a range of divergence angles, effectively expanding the light spot and ensuring a uniform intensity distribution across the output beam. They feature a broad operating wavelength range of 400 nm to 2000 nm, with high transmittance and excellent environmental stability within this range. For optimal performance, we recommend directing the incident light onto the microstructured surface to achieve superior homogenization. Please note that, as this product is made from H‑Polymer material, slight machining marks may be visible along the outer edges of the clear aperture. This is a normal characteristic of the material’s manufacturing process and does not affect its functionality.
