Atmospheric turbulence is a type of vortex of random shape and size. In the field of optics, it refers to the random change of refractive index caused by the random change of local temperature and pressure in the atmosphere, and it is difficult to grasp the change of turbulence in time due to the change and influence of uncertain factors such as temperature and pressure.

Module Functions:

(1) The simulation effect of atmospheric turbulence environment is realized based on space light modulator;

(2) The calculation of the atmospheric turbulence phase diagram is realized based on Kolmogorov's turbulence statistical theory and the power spectral density method, in which the subharmonic order of the power spectral density method can be adjusted;

(3) The software can adjust the phase screen parameters (such as the number of phase screen grids, phase screen unit size, etc.), atmospheric turbulence parameters (such as atmospheric coherence length, inner scale, outer scale, etc.), beam transmission parameters (such as wavelength, beam waist radius, propagation distance, etc.) in real time;

(4) Load the phase diagram to the modulator and modulate the display;

(5) Display the phase map, pictures/folders can be imported and saved.

 

Test Results:

                                         The test effect of the simulated propagation distance of 1 km under the condition of moderate and weak turbulence

 

Applications:Astronomical high-resolution imaging system, laser communication system, adaptive optics system, trajectory tracking, etc.
