Used to monitor and stabilize slow carrier-envelope phase drift during phase-stabilized femtosecond pulse amplification. The APS800 extended full-pulse dynamic control of high-power optical pulses is used in today's most demanding attosecond time-domain physics and related fields. In order to detect the slow carrier envelope phase drift, a small part of the amplifier output is phase separated and spectrally broadened on a sapphire substrate. In an optical interferometer, the green portion of the octave spectrum produced is the overlap of the dual-frequency infrared portion. With the help of the spectrometer control algorithm software, interference analysis and slow correction signals are generated.
