The circular double hole density breadboard is constructed from a 1/2 inch (12.7mm) thick aluminum plate; this thickness is sufficient to maintain flatness throughout the area (flatness specifications are shown in the table to the right). The 1/4 inch -20(M6) threaded hole density of these non-magnetic breadboards is twice that of the standard hole type, and is a convenient platform for assembling prototype optical combinations, managing experiments, and installing small secondary systems.
