The neon lamp operates at wavelengths between 540 and 754 nm, delivering stable characteristic spectral lines across this range; the principal lines and their relative intensities are clearly marked on the instrument’s housing for easy reference. Equipped with a standard SMA905 connector, the neon‑lamp source enables rapid and accurate wavelength calibration of fiber‑optic spectrometers when coupled to large‑core‑diameter optical fibers.
