These plano-concave lenses are made of RoHS-compliant N-BK7 glass. N-BK7 is one of the most common optical glasses used for high-quality optical components. UV fused silica is usually chosen when its additional advantages (I. e., good transmission deep into the UV band, and lower coefficient of thermal expansion) are not necessary.

Below is the transmittance curve of N-BK7, which is a RoHS-compliant BK7 form of glass. The total transmittance shows a 10 mm thick, uncoated sample and includes surface reflections.

These high performance multilayer antireflection films have an average reflectance of less than 0.5 percent (per surface) over the specified wavelength range and provide good performance (0.5 NA) over an incident angle range of 0 ° to 30 °. The graph below shows the performance of the standard coating of this series of products as a function of wavelength. The typical absorption of the broadband coating is 0.25 percent, which is not shown in the reflectance curve.
