Beijing Division Opens | Light PhD Academic League

Match Time: April 12, 2025 (Saturday)

Match Location: Beijing Information Science and Technology University, Jiuxianqiao Campus (No. 1 Courtyard, Block 6, Jiuxianqiao Street, Chaoyang District)

Schedule for Each Stage:

• Opening Ceremony (9:00-9:30)

• Morning Session (9:30-12:00)

• Afternoon Session (13:00-16:00)

• Laboratory Visit (16:00-16:30)

• Award Ceremony (16:30-17:30)

Participant Information

This year's Beijing competition has 29 students from 10 universities and research institutes, including Peking University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Beihang University. The top 10 doctoral students will be selected according to the national league rules to participate in the national top 100 points competition.

Review Mechanism

The judging committee experts will score the contestants based on their presentations. Each contestant will receive a maximum score of 100 points, mainly evaluated from four aspects: innovation (30%), completeness (30%), application prospects (20%), and expressiveness (20%). The final score of a contestant is the average score after removing the highest and lowest scores. In case of a tie, the winner will be selected through a second vote by the experts. Contestants' presentations will not mention any personal published papers or awards, only the research results themselves.

Awards

The Beijing competition will award 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and several excellence awards, all with corresponding prize money and certificates. The top 10 will represent the Beijing competition area in the national top 100 points competition. The expenses for the Beijing competition are sponsored by Beijing Wei Jing Optical Technology Co., Ltd., Nanjing Expansion Technology Co., Ltd., and Beijing Information Science and Technology University.
